Parent Lending LibraryParent Lending Library The Family Resource Center has an extensive library of books, videos and pamphlets for parents. Topics include parenting, self-esteem, nutrition, anger management, divorce, child development, budgeting, dealing with grief, inspiration, discipline, pregnancy, organization, and much, much, more. Parent as Teachers for TeensParents as Teachers for Teens The goals of this program are to help teen parents and expectant parents to understand the importance of prenatal health and developing parenting skills. Other goals include promoting parent and child literacy and the importance of education and graduating from high school. The Parents as Teachers program does this through home and school visits by a trained and certified parent educator. Parent as Children's TeachersParents as Children’s Teachers PACT is a parent involvement program offered to parents and their preschool and kindergarten children. Students check out books for parents to read at home with their child. Students also receive a weekly activity sheet with fun and educational activities to do with their parents. ![]() Santa's HelperSanta’s Helper This program assists families who need help at Christmas by partnering with individuals, churches, civic groups and businesses. Clothing, toys, and other basic family needs are provided to children.

Volunteer opportunities in many areas are offered. Our students are eager to learn and share what they are learning with a new friend. Lenoir City School volunteers are making a vital investment into the future of each student they assist.

Click here for volunteer application Parent ClassesThe Family Resource will offer Love and Logic parent classes each Tuesday beginning January 26 from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Love and Logic in Spanish will be offered on Wednesday's beginning January 27 from 8:00a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
